SUMMARY -
This article is about creating the oceanscape in Pacific region. The reason why they doing that is because across the globe, the world's ocean is in crisis, threatened by massive overfishing, climate change and a myriad of other forces. Building an oceanscape with these following guiding principles: - Improving ocean governance - Sustainably managing ocean resources - Maintaining ocean health - Expanding our understanding of the ocean. - Protecting ocean security - Facilitating partnerships and cooperation. But only negative point is doing this can be some assurance that the oceans and millions of people will survive the onslaught of global climate change. |
REFLECTION -
" The new Pacific Oceanscape will help us build resilience in ocean ecosystems so that marine life has the best chance of adapting. Only by doing this can there be some assurance that the oceans, and millions of people who depend on them directly for their livelihood and well-being, will survive on the onslaught of global climate change." - President Anote Tong of Kiribati. As you can see, building oceanscape is a plan that bring a lot of benefits to us. But during the process, we enable to avoid the negative effect. To get higher benefits in the future, we might get hurt from the negative face.
Personally, I'd like to support these national governments because there will be a lot of benefit in our future and next generations. Also, improving ocean, maintaining ocean health, etc. are awesome things should do. The onslaught of global climate change impacts on people might happens during the process. I think, government should help people around that area to able to have a better place to survive, decrease negative effects on them as much as possible. After all, we would love this oceanscape
